The more digital gadgets we get, the more dependant we become.

There is always a company on the progressive edge of technology bringing us the best electronic items with features we didn't know we needed.

There is usually at least one other company, a close rival just inches away nibbling at becoming number 1. In distance there are a hoard of imitators making the same items cheaper or better appealing to the eye.

I feel sometimes like a little kid who is given a toy to play with. Before having much time to play with it, it is yanked out and replaced with a newer, better more able to entertain kinda toy.

How about the kid in the candy store anology? It is like being in a candy store where you can have a lick of any candy you see. Then when the better candies come along, you can ditch the ones you licked.

The only time it is okay to feel good is when you are well equipped with latest gadget. When the new toy comes, you have to make a choice. To upgrade? Or to become a patron of the world of the side-swiped!

We are captured in a bondage of self creations. Digital dependency is a better term for it.
